This section captures aspects of cloud computing technology that is related to CloudSocket and BPaaS. It leaves aside standards and technology aspects that are necessary to operate, e.g. an IaaS cloud.

TOSCA #

The Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications aims to enable the interoperable description of application and infrastructure cloud services, the relationships between parts of the service,

and the operational behaviour of these services, independently from the supplier creating the service, and any particular cloud provider or hosting technology.

CAMP #

The Cloud Application Management for Platforms aims at defining models, mechanisms and protocols for the management of applications in a PaaS environment.

CloudML #

CloudMLprovides a domain-specific modelling language  that facilitate the specification of provisioning, deployment, and adaptation concerns of multi-cloud systems at design-time and their enactment at run-time.

CAMEL #

The domain-specific language (DSL) CAMEL is an outcome of the PaaSage project and integrates and extends existing DSLs,namely the Cloud Modelling Language (CloudML), Saloon, and the organisation part of CERIF. In addition, CAMEL integrates new DSLs developed within the project, such as the Scalability Rule Language (SRL).
